The Smart Chef Precision Series is set to auto-shutoff when idling for 180 seconds by default.
To reduce the auto-shutoff time or keep the scale on indefinitely, please follow the instructions below:
Step One
Make sure the scale is powered off.
Step Two
To enter the programming mode of auto-shutoff time, continuously press on the “M” button for about 10 seconds. Then while keeping the “M” pressed, press & release the power buttons 4 times.
When you have successfully entered the programming mode of auto-shutoff time, “180” will show up on the scale display. If this setting is saved, this means the scale will auto-shutoff when the scale reading has no activities for 180 seconds.
Step Three
To change the auto-shutoff time duration, first, let go of both the “power” button and the “M” button. Next, single press on “M” button to change the auto-shutoff timer to 120 seconds. If this setting is saved, this means the scale will auto-shutoff when the scale reading has no activities for 120 seconds.
Do a single press on the “M” button again to change the auto-shutoff timer to 60 seconds. If this setting is saved, this means the scale will auto-shutoff when the scale reading has no activities for 60 seconds.
Do a single press on the “M” button again to change the auto-shutoff timer to 0 seconds. If this setting is saved, this means the scale’s auto-shutoff timer will become disabled. The scale will remain powered on until the battery runs out or when the power button is pressed again to manually switch off the power of the scale.
When you are ready to save and exit the auto-shutoff timer programming mode, single press on the “power” button, the scale will display “pass” to indicate the new auto-shutoff timer setting has been saved.
In a couple of seconds, the scale display will return to normal operation. Happy weighing!
